I'm Raynold Gerry Anak Alfred, an IT professional based in Miri, Sarawak. I'm the IT Support Executive at EVER24 Sdn Bhd, supporting HQ, warehouse operations, and a network of 100+ retail outlets — a function I built up from a one-person department into a team of three.
My day spans the entire stack of a real business: deploying and supporting ARMS & IRS POS systems, restructuring user access and stock-adjustment controls, configuring VPN remote access and networks, maintaining CCTV surveillance, and keeping servers monitored and backed up. When a process is slow or error-prone, I don't just document it — I build the software that fixes it, using Laravel & MySQL.
I hold a Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons.) in Network Computing from UNIMAS. While the IT team has grown, I remain the sole developer behind the company's internal systems — most energized when translating messy operational needs into clean, reliable software, coordinating directly with directors, finance, HR, and store managers to get the details right.
